Hometown Favorite: Local Fargo Shop With Variety

It’s that time of the week when we take a look into your hometown favorite.

This week’s choices were locally owned shops and there’s one shop that beat out all the rest.

“Locally owned shops are scattered throughout Fargo, and when we asked you to vote for your favorite shop, you voted for One World. They’re located in the heart of downtown and they’ve been in business since 1988.”

Many say it’s a shop like no other.

“People know to come here to find something cool,” said Jacie Johnson of West Fargo.

“There’s a lot of unique things and it’s not like any other places around here so somewhere different for everybody to go,” said employee Erika Jaymes.

Jacie Johnson is browsing the racks of One World hoping to find something unique.

“I’m kind of a free spirit so they have a lot of hippie stuff that suits my needs and likes,” said Johnson.

She likes shopping here on occasion because of the variety which is something the store owner says is a huge draw.

“In this area it’s hard to find a lot of imported skull and gift items,” said One World Manager Courtney Schur.

It’s not just about the items at this shop, it’s also about leaving a mark with customers.

“Just walking through the door we always want to give a friendly hello just you know, we know you, we see you, we’re here,” said Schur.

It’s a store perfect for Johnson, where she can find:
“Tapestries, I look for incense, sunglasses, jewelry, cute clothes.”

“It’s a shop where even the owners say everyone is like family.”
