A U.S. military leader made her way to Fargo to recognize the 119th Wing of the North Dakota Air National Guard base.

The Chamber hosted Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James.

She talked about the base’s involvement in the global war on terror.

James took a tour of the Predator Operations Center and visited with Governor Dalrymple and other officials.

But the Chamber says the main reason for her trip was to talk to local airmen.

“These men and women of the military are playing a very, very important and crucial role in protecting our nation’s security. And I’m quite confident that when she left here she understood that from the bottom of her heart,” says Chamber President and CEO Craig Whitney.

This was the only place James stopped in the state.
