More than 100 local teachers are developing projects that will help students learn 21st century skills.

The second annual Metro Project–Based Learning Academy is underway at Davies High School.

Teachers from Moorhead, Fargo and West Fargo are working on projects like how to prevent texting and driving.

Members of the business community are also speaking with teachers on the kinds of skills students need in the workplace.

“The four c’s; critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity are tenants of what we want for workforce readiness and college and career and life readiness,” said Molly Bestge with West Fargo Public Schools.

There are several teachers from California helping facilitate the three day workshop.
