Fargo Blues Festival Kicks Off

Blues and old time sound of the guitar is back as the Fargo Blues Festival kicked off its official first day.

The festival which is held at the Red Hawks Newman Outdoor Field is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

It is known for bringing the top blues performers from around the nation to Fargo.

The 2-day festival includes over 40 food and vendors booths.

Two misting booths were also added to this year’s event to help concert-goers beat the heat.

“Our bands from top to bottom are excellent. We spend six months booking these guys out. I had 200 CD’s sent to me from all over the country, and we listen to every single one,” said executive director Dan Bredell.

Tickets are starting at just 25-dollars. The festival goes through tomorrow and is opened to all ages.
