I-94 Motorcyclist Identified

Authorities have released the name of a motorcycle driver killed in a crash on I-94.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a motorcycle driven by 59-year-old Randall Pfeifer of Buffalo rear-ended an SUV two miles east of Mapleton.

It happened just after 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Pfeifer lost control and separated from his motorcycle before he was struck by a pickup truck.

Pfeifer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two people in the SUV were not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.
