New court documents are providing details on how seven young Minnesota men were allegedly recruited to join the Islamic State group.

Prosecutors alleged in the documents that the defendants were inspired and guided by Minnesotans who had joined militant groups in the Middle East and Somalia.

The defendants allegedly used the Internet to communicate with foreign fighters.

FBI agents have arrested seven men in Minneapolis and San Diego over the past 10 months.

A motions hearing is scheduled for September 2nd.
