Sylvan Learning Center Offers STEM Program
Sylvan learning center has launched a new program that is showing kids how math and science can be fun.
Sylvan is advocating to help boost the number of next generation children that will choose a STEM related career.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
The new program allows kids create and animate robots, as well as learn how to make their own video games.
“The good for education is to get these kids engaged with these types of things early on so they can see it’s fun. They can do it they can look forward to it, and hopefully go into a STEM related career,” says Kari Weigel of Sylvan.
Statistics show that into 2020 there will be one million more computer science jobs and not enough skilled workers to fill them.
