Sioux Falls Draining After Heavy Rains Flood City Streets
People in Sioux Falls are cleaning up after heavy rains and flash flooding hit the city overnight.
At least two and a half inches of rain fell at Sioux Falls Regional Airport, though some neighborhoods reported more.
A no–travel recommendation was issued last night due to flooding that made many Sioux Falls roads impossible to pass.
Dozens of drivers were left stranded and they left their cars abandoned.
The mayor of Sioux Falls calls it a “100-year rain”.
As many as 5,000 people lost power during the bad weather.
