As UND fans travel from Grand Forks and Bison fans look for a place to stay for the night, hotels are seeing business pick up.
Candlewood Suites is just steps away from the dome and is completely booked Friday, but still had 12 rooms available for Saturday night as of this afternoon.
“We have a lot of Bison Fans that come here every weekend, and they love the proximity right next to the Fargo Dome. So we have a lot of fun, and we couldn’t ask for a better group of people,” said Holly Scallon-Neva of Candlewood Suites in North Fargo.
Herd and Horns, a new Bison sports bar and restaurant, is also prepping for Saturday’s big game.
Brent Tehven one of the restaurant’s partners says he is excited to host Bison fans of all ages.
“The sense of pride that we have in the university, and to be this close to the campus, and this close to the game we’re really excited. The staff has been preparing all week trying to get ready for it, and hoping for a good turn out and even better game,” said Brent Tehven.
Hardcore Bison fan Jack Brainard will not be waiting till Saturday to show his Bison pride.
He is known for wearing Bison gear seven days a week, and says he is excited to be a part of history.
“First time playing UND since I’ve been here, since I’ve really been alive so it’s going to be super exciting,” said Brainard.
Ticket holders to Saturday’s big game truly have a piece of Bison and UND history.
“There’s a lot of crazy Bison fans out there, and this is a huge game I’m pretty sure it’s a cornered market. If you have bison tickets right now its high value,” said NDSU Sophomore Jack Brainard.
Bison tickets are currently going anywhere from $80 to $400 dollars.
The Fargodome gates are scheduled to open at 9:30 on Saturday morning.
