Grand Forks’ Sanders Restaurant Gets New Name and New Opening

Sanders Restaurant in Grand Forks is reopening under a new name and at a new location.

The restaurant located at 322 DeMers Avenue has moved just a short walk from its previously location on 3rd Street.

The newly renovated establishment will now be known as “Sky’s Fine Dining” named after owner John “Sky” Manske.

He had been a long time waiter at Sanders before becoming its owner last year.

“I think sometimes some logos and names get old and need refreshing, and Kim Holmes my previous boss named me “Sky” 25 years ago gave me that name. So we’re calling it Sky’s Fine Dining and High Spirits,” says John “Sky” Manske.
 
 The restaurant’s official grand opening will be held on Monday.
