2015 Concordia Homecoming Concert

The Concordia College music department presents the 2015 Homecoming Concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in Memorial Auditorium.

The concert will begin with The Concordia Orchestra, conducted by Foster Beyers, performing the “Karelia Suite Op. 11” by Sibelius, and the 4th movement of Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique Op. 14.” The Concordia Band, under the direction Dr. Peter Haberman ’97, will perform works by Brian Balmages, Susan LaBarr and Frank Ticheli. The concert will conclude with The Concordia Choir, conducted by Dr. René Clausen, performing works by Daniel S. Jackson, Jens Klimek, Larry Fleming, Waldemar Åhlén, and F. Melius Christiansen. Bringing the concert to a close will be F. Melius Christiansen’s arrangement of “Beautiful Savior.”

The concert is free and open to the public.
