Weather School: What Makes a Rainbow?
Sorry, this video is no longer available
Weather School is our new Sunday Segment where kids can ask questions about the weather.
Tonight’s question is from Bella Hines, a first grader at Ellen Hopkins Elementary.
She wants to know what makes a rainbow.
Great question, Bella!
White light comes from the sun and goes through raindrops.
The light gets refracted and down into the basic colors: red, orange, green, blue and violet.
Thanks Bella for the question!
