Lt. Governor Wrigley Says it’s Not the Right Time for Governor Run
A political bombshell.
North Dakota’s Lieutenant Governor announces he will not run for governor.
Lt. Governor Drew Wrigley released a statement saying in part he and Kathleen “have concluded that the onset of a campaign is not consistent with the current needs of our family.”
Wrigley says he will continue to focus on the remaining 14 months of his term as lieutenant governor.
Earlier this month, the Republican admitted to having an extramarital affair.
Gov. Dalrymple announced in August he would not seek re-election.
