The search is on in Grand Forks for a woman who allegedly robbed Bremer Bank on north Washington this afternoon.

Police released surveillance snapshots from the scene of the crime.

The woman is believed to be in her late 30’s and Hispanic.

She is described as five feet tall, weighing around 200 pounds and wearing a white t-shirt, grey sweatpants and blue knit cap.

Police say the nature of this robbery is unusual.

“It’s not a prototypical robbery. It didn’t appear that she covered up her face. She was wearing a cap of some sort, a blue knit cap but it’s not the usual way that one would expect someone to rob a bank,” says Lt. Derik Zimmel of Grand Forks Police.

Police say she walked into the bank around 1:30 p.m., showed a weapon and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
