A firetruck, ambulance and police car filled the parking lot of Agassiz, getting kids acquainted with the community’s first responders.
From riding a motorcycle to hearing their heart beat, kids not only sat inside the vehicles but interacted with police, firefighters and crew members from FM ambulance.
The hands-on visit is to get kids comfortable with emergency personnel and realize they’re here to help.
“It’s really great because they get to look inside the vehicle which most of the time they just get to look on the outside and it’s really important to build those trusting relationships with those caregivers in our community so in the event that they ever needed to use them they feel comfortable,” says Karrie Rage, Early Childhood Coordinator.
Kids also got the chance to explore the inside of a police car, firetruck and ambulance.
