Fargo High School students took over teaching duty for the day.

And they took their teaching outdoors.

The high schoolers prepared interactive outdoor lab stations, teaching kids about ecology including everything from wildfires, to food webs and even invasive species.

“This is an opportunity for our students to shine a little bit and be able to show what they can know and be able to get a little community interaction as well and they’re actually teaching standards that the elementary students also need to know so we’re able to bring it full circle,” says Fargo Science Curriculum Facilitator, Andrea Harmon.

The high schoolers took on 16 different elementary school classes throughout the day.

The Elementary schools included Lewis and Clark, Clara Barton, Lincoln and Jefferson.
