VA hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Health Fair

The Fargo VA held a health fair to bring awareness about breast cancer.

A panel of speakers and informational booths made up the event.

Some of the featured speakers were breast cancer survivors and medical professionals.

The booths had information on treatment options, preventative facts and details on breast cancer screening.

Organizers want it to be known they are serving women at the VA and are providing care for those with breast cancer.

“Not only do we want the community to know, we want our employees to be made aware of how many women were treating and what we have to offer,” says Women Veterans Program Manager Glenda Trochmann.

The population of women veterans is growing.

They currently have almost 2,500 women enrolled.

They expect this number to increase yearly.
