“Mayor of the World” Shares Insights on Leading

Rudy Giuliani brings his insights to the metro, headlining at the Chamber’s Voices of Vision.

The former New York City Mayor and one time Republican presidential candidate shared what it takes to be a great leader.

No matter what your political standing may be, the chamber’s sixth annual voices of vision is meant to start a conversation.

And that’s exactly what the former New York City Mayor did.

Giuliani served as mayor during 9/11 and many called him Mayor of the World.

He says to be a great leader, you don’t have to know everything but you need to be strong.

“Put it simply, I want a president that Putin is afraid of. Not somebody he can push around. Then we can have a safe world, and a peaceful world and a chance of another September 11th becomes minuscule,” says Giuliani.

“You can relate all what he talked about when it came to leadership. You can relate that as chamber members and people in businesses. You can relate that to how you can lead. How a CEO can lead. How a CEO can lead, a director, a vice president whatever the case may be how people can lead in their business,” says Chamber President, Craig Whitney.

Giuliani didn’t leave the stage without sharing a few remarks about last night’s GOP debate.

He was quick to praise all the candidates, excluding one, and that’s Rand Paul.

He says he would most like to see either Bush or Rubio as the next president.
