Fargo Library Hosts Hunger Game Fan Party

Folks volunteered as a tribute to celebrate the release of the latest Hunger Games movie at the Fargo Library.

The library transformed into the capital of Panem for the day. Tributes got sorted into their district by rolling the dice. No, there was not a real “hunger game” taking place. But people looking to find their inner Katniss shot at the target with a bow and arrow.

If you dare, a themed snack table had “poison berries” for you to try.

“We love to see this collaboration between books and movies. To throw a party like this is just a great way to celebrate that,” says Drea Cook with the Fargo Public Library.

The fan party also had a reaping. Different from the movie, the chosen tributes went home with a book bag and movie tickets.

The movie “Hunger Games, Mockingjay Part 2” comes out November 20th.
