Golden Drive for Homeless Kids Kicks Off Christmas Event
All it takes is one gift to make a difference in the life of a child that is homeless.
The Golden Drive Homeless Kids Christmas event kicked off Saturday.
Gifts can be dropped off at businesses across the F–M area including right here at KVRR News.
Culver’s is another business that has been an active supporter.
This year, they’re offering a free pint of custard for every gift donated.
However, the overall mission remains the same: bringing awareness to the problem of homelessness in the Red River Valley.
“Because it just takes one person to make a difference. We can’t help everybody, but everybody can help somebody and these children aren’t only part of our community. They’re part of our future,” says organizer of Golden Drive Homeless Kids, Susan Baron.
Items needed include diapers, hand warmers, kids clothing, socks, and toys.
The drive continues through December 18th.
Drop off locations include: Culver’s, Bell State Bank, Eyemart, Advanced Auto Body, KVRR News Studio, Western State Bank, Starbucks, Seip Prescription Shoppe, Absolute Nutrition, West Side Salon & Spa, Watson Cleaning & other locations found on Golden Drive Homeless Kids Facebook page.
