Fargo Garage Engulfed in Fire

A garage became fully engulfed in Fargo tonight, threatening nearby homes.

Crews responded to a home on the 300 block of 21st Avenue North around 7 pm. Fargo Fire Department says that on arrival, flames were shooting at least 30 feet high. No one was home at the time.

“Dispatch reported a residential garage fire. On arrival we found a fully involved garage. The first engine company and ladder truck company pull the lines out to put the fire out to put out exposure,” says Battalion Chief Chris Rasmussen.

Power lines were damaged in the incident but only the home on fire lost power. The fire destroyed the building, a classic car and three motorcycles. The total cost of the fire loss is unknown at this time. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
