Man Arrested After 44-Mile Police Chase

A Verndale, Minnesota man is in a Fergus Falls jail after a wild pursuit that started in Todd County Wednesday afternoon when he sped away from police.

Police tried to pull 25-year-old Wade Moenkedick over for speeding.
Instead, he led them on a 44 mile chase through Todd and Otter Tail County. The driver wound up in a field just outside Dent. Boxed in, he still managed to damage three squad cars. The car drove into oncoming traffic and managed to dodge stop sticks. Moenkedick faces charges of attempted murder, assault, fleeing, and reckless driving.
