Students Get Hands-on at Career Expo

Students are stepping away from their desks and getting hands on with thinking about their future.

More than 850 Fargo Public School freshmen could explore careers at the Fargodome by using an excavator, learning carpentry skills and practicing CPR at the Health, Tech, and Trades Expo.

Students could learn about more than 90 professions in the health, technology and trade industries.

Event organizers say it’s a good way for students to start thinking about future jobs they may be interested in around the area.

“Every company needs workers, and we have great students here in the Fargo-Moorhead area. We’d love them to stay here; we want to cultivate them here,” said Jenny Erickson, expo co-coordinator.

This is the regional career expos 13th annual event.
