22 People Arrested in Spirit Lake Reservation Raid

A reservation-wide sweep called “Operation No Sanctuary” ends with 22 people behind bars from the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.

Fugitives on the reservation and in the Devils Lake area that were wanted on federal, state, local and tribal warrants were targeted.

The Spirit Lake Tribal Council asked law enforcement to come in.

In August, the council declared a state of emergency to help fight rampant drug use and trafficking on the reservation.
