Animal Shelter Hopes Cats and Coffee Prove Popular Combination

A local animal shelter hopes the two become a purrrrfect combination.
 
Cats Cradle and the Red Raven Espresso Parlor partnered for the first “Purrsday Thursday” event.

The shelter brings cats into the coffee shop, and people get to enjoy a feline companion with their cup of joe.

Shelter volunteers hope the program helps a few cats find a permanent home.

If that’s not the case, an afternoon out is still good for cats and people too,

“We’ve had a lot of very nice people come in”, says Cat’s Cradle director Jill Lamp. “The cats are very excited because they’re in a new place. They’re getting to explore things like windows with blinds and draperies.”
 
Shelter volunteers hope that “Purrsday Thursday” will become a regular feature at the Red Raven.
