Santa Lucia Celebrates 25 Years in Fargo

A restaurant staple celebrates 25 years in Fargo.

Owners, family members and frequent customers helped commemorate Santa Lucia’s silver anniversary.

The Wilson family came to Fargo from Canada in 1990 to offer Greek and Italian food to the F-M community.

They offered a taste of their famed cuisine during the celebration.

Co-Owner Maria Wilson says she hopes 25 years is just a start.

“Oh Gosh I hope so”, Wilson says. “It’s scary watching the places that have come and gone since I’ve been here, but I think even if it’s not me personally, I could see my boys taking over the restaurant.”
 

The Wilson family has been in the restaurant business since 1970, when Maria’s father opened the first Santa Lucia in Canada.
