Sgt. Jesse Grabow’s Friendly Reminder: Move Over for Emergency Vehicles

As the roads continue to be glazed over by snow and ice, the Minnesota State Patrol has a friendly reminder.

Move over and slow down.

Law enforcement wants drivers to watch out for vehicles pulled over on the side of the road and for those involved in accidents.

If you can’t move over, at least slow down while passing.

The reminder comes on the two year anniversary of Minnesota State Trooper Sgt. Jesse Grabow’s vehicle getting hit while at a crash scene.

“It definitely brings back some memories. And it’s always in the back of your mind when you when you’re out on patrol whether it’s at a crash site or just helping somebody else out along the road. I just want to get that word out for people to slow down, and move over it makes a lot of a difference for us along the shoulders of the road.,” he said.

As of this afternoon, western Minnesota had more than 20 vehicles that were off the roads and needing assistance.
