Elementary Hosts First-Ever “Living Wax Museum”
Albert Einstein and Martin Luther King Jr. were just two of the historical figures brought back to life at Lewis and Clark Elementary.
Students enrolled in the Gifts Services Reading Program participated in the school’s first ever living wax museum.
As a part of the program students were told to choose a historical figure that demonstrates what they have learned about character.
Students then researched, wrote and impersonated their historical figure at the living wax museum.
“Besides the fun of learning and teaching other people they are learning research skills, and really how to communicate both in written form and articulate words. That makes it meaningful and special to them, and the people coming to the museum,” said Stacy Anderson, Gifted Services Instructor at Lewis and Clark Elementary.
Parents along with third, fourth and fifth graders were invited to stop by the museum.
