Local Fargo Band Will Take The Big Stage

When we reported last week that Fargo’s own “32 Below” landed the halftime gig at the Bears-Lions game in Chicago in January, it lit up social media.

Come January 3rd when the Chicago Bears take on the Detroit Lions, the biggest Bears fan in all of North Dakota will be there on center stage.

“Don’t fall down, no voice cracks, don’t cry: Those are the first things I’m going to be thinking about and reminding myself,” says 32 Below Pass Player, Tyler Waslien.

The band has been hitting stages across the US for more than 10 years.

The current lineup has been together the past few years.

But this gig, is their biggest yet.

“The neatest thing we’ve ever done is opening up for Band Perry and it was like 18,000 that was pretty crazy,” says drummer, Luke Nygaard.

But whether it’s 10 people or thousands, for these four band members making music is the real dream.

“When we’re writing its typically all four of us together in a room,” says singer, Brian Loweree.

“I found my life, I love it. Music is my life,” says lead guitarist, Tyler Steinle.

32 Below has performed across the upper Midwest attracting fans from near…

“They know us by name now because we’ve been to enough of their shows,” says Mandy Mattern of Bismarck.

And far… after a small gig in Chicago a very special fan just happened to be in attendance.

“He pulled out his card, he happened to be the Bears media director,” says Waslien.

And just like that, 32 below will try out the big stage.

A gig that proves with some hard work,

“Music is everything to us this is what we give our week in, week out to,” says Waslien.

And a lot of love.

“I mean this is our passion this is our career,” says Waslien.

Dreams, do come true.
