Downtown Fargo Busy With Last Minute Shoppers

Downtown Fargo is keeping busy as the countdown to Christmas is just two days away.

Shoppers are heading downtown for many of their last minute gifts.

A number of the retailers say shoppers enjoy buying gifts at these smaller stores than compared to the big box stores or the mall.

Many of the downtown store workers say business continues to get busier year after year.

“I remember our first year we were open it was never really overly busy but now any given day of the week is busy for us. Could be a Monday, a Tuesday, weekends are always good but then you tie in Christmas with that and then you get even a busier time,” says Halberstadt’s On Broadway Store Manager, Alex Dahl.

Halberstadt’s will be open from 10 to 2 tomorrow.

Despite the limited hours, Christmas Eve is still one of the store’s busiest days.
