After Five Years In Frisco, Bison Gear Still Selling Strong
Bison fans are gearing up for the Drive for Five.
The herd is heading to Frisco next week for the FCS National Championship.
It’s the fifth year the Bison are heading to the championship.
Is there Bison fatigue?
Not in the area.
“You can never have enough Bison gold,” says Bison fan Eric Lahlum.
Scheels in Fargo, says Bison gear sales has been steady.
“People just want this year’s jacket. They want this year’s shirt. They want something to say that ‘I was here, this year.’ Or ‘I got every single year,'” says Scheel’s Pro College Expert Ian Jahnig.
People shopping are looking for gear that will commemorate the big game.
Some fans say they already own plenty of gear but need more for when they head to Frisco.
“It just says we really support our team and we really love Bison football and it’s just a gigantic community that we all support and love and are willing to do whatever it takes to get behind our team,” says Jahnig.
Fans are always looking to add more Bison apparel to their collection.
So rather you’re driving or flying to Frisco, Bison fans will be sure to be in the latest gold and green gear.
Lahlum explains, “I need a new hat because this is a two years ago hat. I was going to get something for my wife because she’s never been to Frisco.”
Proud Bison fan Eric Lahlum was more proud as a husband when his wife agreed to go on the trip down south.
He was all smiles when he was able to find the perfect gold shirt for her.
“I’m happy that my wife is going. But I’m just happy to go down there again. It’s a lot of fun,” says Lahlum.
Bison fever is still very much sweeping through Fargo, something businesses can’t complain about.
Scheels say the hottest selling items are the drive for five shirts, long sleeves and thin layer jackets.
The National Championship game takes place January 9th at 11 am in Frisco, Texas.
