North Dakotans Enjoying 2nd Lowest Gas Prices in 10 Years
North Dakotans are seeing the second lowest gas prices in 10 years.
The average price for a gallon of gas in 2015 was $2.40.
That’s the second lowest average since 2009 when a gallon was at $2.38.
Fargo saw the lowest average compared to Grand Forks and Bismarck at $2.23 a gallon.
With such low prices, many are taking full advantage by hitting the roads.
“We went really a lot clear across the state and what not so that’s been very easy on the pocketbook,” says Rhonda Dikoff of West Fargo.
“Drive a little bit more it just helps out I’m on a lay off right now so it just helps out the bills and stuff,” says Dennis Kingsley of Fargo.
The average price for last year’s gallon was nearly a dollar cheaper than 2014.
AAA says gas prices are likely to remain low throughout the year.
