Good evening we begin with breaking news out of Casselton where a standoff is underway with two alleged burglary suspects involved in a chase.

A large law enforcement presence can be seen in a Casselton neighborhood.

“Police are staked outside a house here in Casselton right now and they believe two suspects are inside.  They’re waiting for a search warrant to go inside.  It all started earlier this afternoon when police were trying to make a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 90 miles per hour.  They decided to stop that pursuit because of the high speeds.  But soon after, they were called to a burglary also in Casselton where that same vehicle was at.  Now police believe they were trying to burglarize a residential garage and car but a K-9 was brought in from Fargo which then led them to this house here.  Now police are outside.  They don’t have a search warrant yet but they are waiting for that.  They are saying residents should stay inside and they’re not sure how long it will take.  They don’t believe the suspects are armed.  Stay tuned to KVRR.com and we’ll have an update on our news at 9.”
