West Fargo Planning Brooks Harbor Elementary

The West Fargo School District isn’t wasting time putting its $98 million referendum to good use.

Construction will begin in the spring on a brand new elementary school in the Brooks Harbor Area.

It’ll be the district’s 13th elementary school.

It will hold 420 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

If the rapid growth of West Fargo continues, the school will be able to be built onto in the future.

“It’s critically important because our demographic projections that were done show us increasing in enrollment 500 to 600 per year so a lot of that growth is happening south of I-94,” says West Fargo Schools Superintendent, David Flowers.

Other projects include building on at Horace Elementary and converting the Osgood Kindergarten center into a K through Five School.

Flowers says the district hopes to get all kindergarten children back into their neighborhood schools.
