YMCA Starting Exercise Classes for Cancer Survivors
Cancer survivors now have a new way to regain strength after battling a terrible disease.
The YMCA is offering free classes specifically designed for those who have faced cancer.
The YMCA of Cass and Clay county won a $6,000 state grant to start up four new exercise programs.
The Y will also offer dietary tips for cancer survivors, and provide information on cancer screenings.
Organizers say they’re thrilled to be helping cancer survivors regain their lives after fighting the disease.
“Exercising is essential for cancer survivors and reducing their chances of receiving cancer again, and so by providing these programs we’re hoping that cancer survivors can take what they learn today and
make it a habit the rest of their life.”
Classes start January 22nd.
You do not have to preregister to attend.
