Moorhead Crush: Fastpitch Program Kicks Off in Moorhead
A new program in Moorhead is helping softball athletes sharpen their skills.
Moorhead Crush, a fastpitch softball program, kicked off its very first clinic at the Moorhead High School Fieldhouse.
More than 60 girls, ages 8 to 18, were out learning skills that will help them both on and off the field.
Athletes practice exercises that highlight values like leadership, and self-empowerment.
Organizers say the clinic is a great way to prepare them for the season ahead.
“The point of this clinic is really help them learn the fundamentals of the sport. Then once the season starts they can apply some of those things they’ve learned here.,” said James Van Raden of Moorhead Crush Girls Fastpitch.
Fastpitch standouts from NDSU, Concordia and Moorhead High also participated in the clinic.
