Senator Franken Says He is Pushing for Better Quality Rural Health Care
Minnesota Senator Al Franken addresses challenges rural health care faces in Minnesota.
This reform comes from reaching out to the public and hearing a demand for better quality health care in rural parts of the state.
Franken plans to attract workforce to these areas by offering debt relief to employees.
Another option in the works is to train people already living in those rural areas.
Franken’s goal is to have reliable rural healthcare.
“That people can get care so that they have wellness checkup so they don’t get sick and so that health care is delivered more seamlessly in rural America.”
Franken says he will work with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in creating a rural health council.
