Enderlin Man Killed in Drive By Shooting

A man has died from an alleged drive-by shooting early this morning in Enderlin.

Officials responded to a call shortly after 2:00am about a man shot on the 200 block of 3rd Avenue.

The Ransom County Sheriff says the victim Billy Holladay was pronounced dead at the scene.

I spoke with Billy’s father off camera.

He said his 28-year-old son was a good person and has no idea who could’ve done this.

His dad, along with authorities, say Holladay dropped his nephew off at home and while walking in front of Bless my Bloomin’ Cookies, he was shot multiple times.

Ransom County Sheriff Darren Benneweis cannot confirm how many shots were fired but believes anywhere from three to seven.

Benneweis says he does not believe that this was a random act.

Officers were told that shots came from a 2013-2014 silver F-150 truck.

The Cass and Barnes County Sheriff’s offices, along with the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation are also investigating the case.
