Workers Out Early for City Blizzard Cleanup
Blowing and drifting snow and icy roads made for a slow commute this morning as drivers headed to work.
Fargo Public Works had plows on the streets throughout the night.
Close to 40 pieces of equipment have been used with extra workers filling in.
Snow drifts were the major concern, but plows faced most of the bigger drifts overnight.
“They’ll be some minor drifting but overall it’s a little bit tricky. You go some blocks there’s nothing on the roads and the next block looks like we have four or five, six inches of snow,” said Fargo Public Works Surpervisor Lee Anderson.
Anderson says conditions could have been much worse if we got more snow.
He says his workers have been fortunate so far this winter with a manageable amount of snow.
