Fargo Elementary Students Relocated After Fatal Standoff
Horace Mann Elementary briefly closed due to the overnight standoff.
Nearly 200 students and staff were told to report to Roosevelt Elementary for classes.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation closed the school during its investigation.
The school is located near the area surrounding the shooting.
Clearance was given around 9:30 this morning and students returned back to Horace.
“It’s very difficult to cancel school because there’s daycare issues and other kinds of issues for parents. And we knew that we had the facility at Roosevelt, that already pairs with this school. So it made it very easy for us to make a decision to just pair the students up over at Roosevelt. We try not to close this school down,” said Fargo Superintendent Jeff Schatz.
Horace Mann is back to normal operations.
