Cass County Deputies Arrest Suspect in Early Morning Burglary Spree
A suspect involved in an early morning burglary spree that started in Harwood is behind bars.
Matthew Bjordahl, 19, is in the Cass County jail where he is facing multiple charges.
Bjordhal is currently being held at the Cass County Jail where he is facing multiple charges.
Deputies got the call just after two this morning after one person in Harwood was woken up by a garage break-in.
Bjorahl fled before deputies arrived.
A short time later deputies got a call from someone in Reile’s Acres, who saw a person breaking into vehicles.
They were able to identify the suspect’s vehicle and make the arrest.
“Throughout the night and morning we’ve has had approximately ten calls from complaints about vehicle breaks in’s, and garage break in’s that were all tied to that suspect,” said Jake Wiedenmann of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Bjordahl has been charged with two counts of burglary and unlawful entry to a vehicle.
The Sheriff’s office says in light of the burglaries they want to remind people to always lock your car, house and garage doors.
