UPDATED: Allegiant Responds, Hector Passengers Say Romantic Vacations Ruined
While stranded passengers are left fuming for another night without the glitz and glamour of Vegas, Allegiant responds to our information request.
The company says:
“We sincerely apologize for the delays that passengers on flight 427 have experienced. Flight 427, originally scheduled to depart Fargo on Feb. 14, 2016 was rescheduled to today, Feb. 15, 2016 due to a maintenance issue with the aircraft. Today, Feb. 15, 2016, a flight from Las Vegas was sent to Fargo to carry the passengers to Las Vegas, but unfortunately that flight also suffered a maintenance issue. The flight has now been rescheduled to tomorrow, Feb. 16, 2016 and is expected to depart Fargo at 1:09 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 2:14 p.m.“
Allegiant also says if passengers decide not to continue to Vegas, they will receive a refund or credit for future travel on the airline.
They also say all passengers were given $200 vouchers for future travel with Allegiant and a free hotel stay in Fargo.
Tomorrow on KVRR News, hear from a passenger hoping to still make the romantic getaway on Tuesday’s Vegas Flight.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but it doesn’t apply if your flight can’t make it there.
Many Allegiant passengers are upset after multiple flight delays from Fargo to Las Vegas.
An Allegiant flight from Fargo to Las Vegas, scheduled last Friday, has been delayed, not once, not twice but several times.
The plane is said to have mechanical issues.
Passengers were told that a mechanic was flown in to fix the problem.
Allegiant gave $100 vouchers and $8 dollar food vouchers to compensate for the distress.
It’s been several days and passengers are not feeling the love after spending Valentine’s Day waiting for the flight to Sin City.
“So we’re waiting for this plane that’s probably in Utah coming here. And so we’re going to get to Vegas probably 9:30 tonight. So that gives us a whole day then we got to be at the airport at 9:30 Wednesday morning to come back. I mean come on,” said passenger Nathan Asleson.
Multiple passengers are out hundreds of dollars due to the delays.
A special flight was supposed to take off at 6:30 tonight but got canceled.
The next scheduled departure flight is set for February 17th at 5:16pm.
