Fargo Police Arrest Man in High Speed Chase from Hawley

Fargo police arrest a man who led an early morning high speed chase from Hawley.

31-year-old BJ Englund is in custody after a chase that ended in Fargo.

Hawley police got a narcotic tip that a vehicle with Englund would be driving through town.

A Hawley officer tried to pull it over at 3:30 a.m but the car fled the scene at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

Spike strips were laid down by a Dilworth officer.

“I know that there were questions that there were objects being thrown out of the window. I don’t know what those were so I can’t tell you if those were narcotics or whatever equipment they might be,” says Deputy Chief Joe Anderson of Fargo Police.

Police say Englund was a passenger and two others are believed to have fled the scene.

As of now, he will be facing charges for his active warrant.
