Seniors at East Grand Forks High may not look at social media the same.

Jerry Ackerman, social media public speaker, paid the school a visit educating students on social media practices.

Some of the topics include safety and communication issues associated with the constant use of social media.

He says it’s important for young adults to realize one thing.

“The biggest take away for kids is to realize that what they put online always remains. So what they’re doing as a senior in high school you’ll be able to view that in 20 years,” said Ackerman.

Ackerman also gave a presentation for parents educating them on the growing use of apps like snapchat.
