Startup Weekend: Where Ideas Come To Life

Everyone has ideas, but for some people this weekend, those ideas are coming to life.

It’s all unfolding at the Fourth Annual Startup Weekend.

Designers, developers and entrepreneurs pitched their ideas last night.

Forty pitches were made in total, that was then narrowed into a dozen teams.

Child tracking apps for parents and teaching prisoners to code for rehabilitation are just a few of the ideas team members are working on.

“The main thing is we want to get our people together as a community we’ve been really pushing the entrepreneur ecosystem. It’s to push innovation; it gets people out of their basements, out of work, meeting each other and just in a fun environment,” says Startup Weekend organizer, John Machacek.

Team members will put in 54 hours of work leading up to closing presentations. The public is invited to attend the final presentation tomorrow at 4:30 at the Fargo Theater.
