FMWF Chamber Launches Young Entrepreneurs Academy Program

Nine students pitched their business ideas to a panel of “Shark Tank” like investors.

The Chamber launched its first Young Entrepreneurs Academy program.

Both middle and high schoolers selected are committed to a 30 week program, in which they build their business from the ground up.

With only five weeks left, they pitched their ideas to a panel of investors.

Similar to the show, the investors will choose to fund companies they find profitable.

“The icing on the cake is with all the entrepreneurial stories and entrepreneurs right here in our community what better way for them to learn the ups and downs of business,” says FMWF Chamber of Commerce CEO Craig Whitney.

One company will be chosen to move on to the semi-finals in Rochester, New York to compete to win a college scholarship up to $50,000 dollars.
