Political Madness: Local Reaction on the Presidential Race
When it comes to the presidential race, people in the valley are all over the map.
There are a few more months until President Obama gets replaced.
We still have five potential candidates but only two are shining above the rest.
However, it doesn’t seem like Clinton and Trump are the most favorable picks in the valley.
“Well, I’m a republican but I’m not proud of it. I think they’re screwing things up is what I think,” says Ken Rudd of Fergus Falls.
Rudd is not happy with Trump sweeping the primary elections.
Rudd is a Ted Cruz fan and says he isn’t a fan of Trump’s manner.
“He’s pretty brash and I don’t like that,” says Rudd.
“One of the remarks that he made that kind of pissed me off is when he said he would like to punch someone in the face. I guaranteed he wouldn’t do that. He just doesn’t seem like it,” says Shane Garze of Flandreau, South Dakota.
Garze, who turned 18, will be voting for the first time and he’s feeling the Bern.
But someone who takes the role of commander in chief, he thinks should have some prior experience.
Garze explains, “I think that honestly, someone who wants to be president should have a military background.”
Megan Krump is not registered under a specific party.
Whoever she believe brings more to the table, she has her vote.
I did ask if there’s a candidate who appeals to them, so far.
“No, not really,” says Krump.
As for the Trump’s remarks, she’s not taking any to heart, at least not yet.
Krump says, “It’s one ear out the other until someone will say something before they get voted in and then they change it. So it’s like let life goes as it is.”
“Trump or Clinton for president. No. Can’t do it,” says Garze.

The next primary election is in Arizona and Utah on Tuesday.
