Heroes Are All Among Us

A few Fargo police officers and civilians were honored for some heroic work.

The Fargo Police Chief and Mayor presented close to two dozen medals, about half of those medals were for civilians and officers who helped save a person’s life.

“When police chief and I walked the St Paddy’s day parade it was a little bit different for us because people were standing up and clapping and they were clapping for every one of you. Every one of you in this room and I said I’m going to take him on every one of my parade’s because it’s pretty good when people are clapping,” says Fargo Mayor, Tim Mahoney.
 
Officer Todd Wahl was honored as police officer of the year.

The award is presented each year to any officer regardless of rank.
