United Way Unveils Goals for the Future

United Way is unveiling what’s next for the charity in the years to come.

More than 700 sponsors and supporters attended as the charity shared its top five goals going into 2020.

The initiatives include reducing hunger and homelessness, preparing kids to succeed, and helping people to be independent.

“Really the biggest goal is to raise $29 million dollars by 2020, and why we want  to do that is we have a goal to lift people out of poverty, and how is by education, health, and basic needs. Those are big goals for our community but we know what we can accomplish together,” said Kristina Hein of United Way.
 
The sold out event has made United Way history as one of the largest attended annual meetings.
