DOVS Honors Volunteer Coordinators that Go Above and Beyond

One local nonprofit is honoring those who sacrifice their time all for a good cause.

The Fargo-Moorhead Area Directors of Volunteers Services, also known as DOVS, held its annual Golden DOVS award ceremony.

The award ceremony is way to recognize those that go above and beyond their job descriptions all helping to coordinate volunteer programs.

“The State of North Dakota values one hour of volunteer time at 19.18 cents an hour, and I think that speaks a lot on how much volunteers are worth to non-profits organizations. So it’s very important for us to recognize those volunteers, who are spending countless hours,” said DOVS President Caroline McGuire.

This is the 12th year of the event.
